BPSC Exam Syllabus 2022-23 latest update –

Bihar Public Service Examination(BPSC) is held in three stages:-  Prelims,  Mains,  Interview.


BPSC Prelims syllabus Prelims exam consist of only one paper i.e. General studies of total 150 marks. Duration of the exam is 2 hrs.  Negative marking of 1/3 of the marks allocated to the question for every wrong answer. No negative for unattended questions.  Syllabus of General studies are:


 1. General Science

2. General Mental Ability

3. History of Bihar and Indian History

4. Geography

5. Geography of Bihar

6. Indian Polity and Economy

7. Changes in the economy of Bihar post-independence

8. Indian National Movement and the Role of Bihar

9. Events of national and international importance


BPSC MAINS SYLLABUS:-  

Total 4 Papers in the mains exam.

General Hindi- Syllabus of general Hindi are-


  • Essay of 30 marks

  • Syntax of 25 marks

  • Grammar of 30 marks

  • Summary or Precis of 15 marks


General Studies Paper 1- Syllabus of General studies paper 1 are -


  • Modern history of India. (History of India and Bihar - mid 19th century onwards)

  • Indian culture

  • About events of national and international importance

  • Graphs, Diagrams and Statistical analysis.

  • Knowledge about the great personalities like mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh.

  • Technical education and western education in Bihar.

  • Role of Bihar in the Indian national movement like Quit India movement, Revolt of 1857, uprising of Santhals and Champaran satyagraha, Dandi march.
